Atmos is a top-tier provider of comprehensive environmental solutions, exhibiting unparalleled expertise in developing custom products and application equipment. Its innovative solutions address environmental and sustainability challenges in key sectors such as solid waste landfills and environmental remediation. By delivering tailored solutions, Atmos helps its clients achieve their sustainability goals and contribute to a cleaner, greener future. In addition, by limiting odor, dust, or trash complaints Atmos partners with their customers to develop and maintain a positive standing within their community.
Atmos likes to say, “Environment is everything”. They offer customized products and application equipment to help landfills and environmental remediation sites combat odor and VOC emissions at source. All Atmos products are nonhazardous, biodegradable, contain zero PFAS and are designed for use in any season or climate.
Atmos Cover ADC (Alternative Daily Cover) is a patented formulation that produces a biodegradable foam to provide landfills daily cover as a cost-effective alternative to tarps and soil. The Atmos ADC consumes zero airspace, can be used at any temperature, repels birds, and requires no clean up. Atmos provides chemical storage, mixing centers, and a Marooka platform unit to spray and spread the foam cover. The Marooka, or the Atmos PFU 400, is a self-driven, self-contained system that features a built-in air compressor, electric hose reel, 200 feet of hose, and a 400-gallon storage tank. Its freeze protection enables outdoor storage and year-round use in any climate. Also included in every ADC program is a two-week on-site operator training, and full preventative and on call maintenance.
In addition to daily cover applications, Atmos foams can be concentrated and are often used in remediation applications where longer term (4 weeks to 6 months) control of dust, odors, and VOCs is needed. This foam produces an impermeable, flexible membrane that seals a surface to prevent emission release. Like the ADC foam, remediation foams can be used at any temperature, are nonhazardous, biodegradable, and contain zero PFAS.

“As specialists in odor and volatile organic compounds (VOC) control, we are the only company in our space that offers a one-stop shop service. We manufacture our chemicals, fabricate our equipment, and routinely customize for a customer applications,” says Fred Rullo, president and CEO of Atmos.
Recently, a landfill approached Atmos asking for help to convert raw leachate to water to be used in their ADC foam applications. Their ADC water demand equaled 2,000 gallons per day, and the treated water had to meet RCCRA standards. The Atmos team developed a small-scale, on-site leachate treatment unit to meet those requirements, and the landfill was quickly running their ADC foam using 3,000 gallons of treated leachate daily. Pleased, the landfill quickly upped the ante. Atmos engineers went to work, increasing capacity while improving the design. After a series of tests at the new volume, the landfill was pleased to learn that water quality improved after increasing output 10x. As a result, the customer was able to convert 30,000 gallons of raw leachate per day into water used on site for foam and odor/dust suppression.
In today’s world, where sustainability and environmental accountability are top priorities, Atmos Technologies stands out for its innovation and proficiency. Its dedication to minimizing the ecological impact of industrial processes and offering environmentally friendly alternatives is exceptional. By leveraging advanced technology and unmatched knowledge, Atmos will continue to deliver customized solutions that address the unique needs of every application.
